Accessibility Audit in Opole Region

In a region many younger residents have left, online matters are often handled by people in their seventies, entirely on their own. A WCAG audit shows exactly what makes that impossible for them.

01 benefits

The Opole region has been losing younger residents for years, so e-services here are largely used by older people living alone

There is nobody to ask for help with a click, so every unlabelled button and every form that clears itself after an error ends the matter. We check the site against WCAG criteria but also test it in real conditions: magnified, on a phone, keyboard only and with a screen reader. The report starts with the barriers that make it impossible to finish without someone else's help.

  • Assessment of key user journeys
  • Keyboard and screen reader testing
  • Verification of automated test results
  • Report with examples and recommendations
  • Development priorities for the team
  • Re-testing after fixes

How we work

Stage
Action
Benefit
01

Product and requirements analysis

We start by analyzing your website, online shop, or app, mapping key user behaviors alongside your business and legal requirements.

  • Clear requirements
  • Business context
02

Automated accessibility analysis

The first step can be an automated scan running against standard WCAG rules. This quickly flags common issues and reveals the overall scope of potential barriers.

  • Rapid diagnosis
  • Identified issues
03

Manual WCAG audit

Next, we examine areas that automation cannot reliably evaluate, including keyboard navigation, form fields, complex interactions, error alerts, and screen reader compatibility.

  • Thorough verification
  • Comprehensive scope
04

Remediation and recommendations

Following the audit, you receive actionable guidance on how to fix each identified issue. You can implement them with your in-house team or have us take care of the remediation.

  • Actionable guidelines
  • Eliminating barriers
05

Monitoring and continuous support

Once fixes are in place, you can keep track of compliance around the clock using DockAccess, schedule regular automated re-audits, and safeguard new features as your product evolves.

  • Continuous oversight
  • Early detection

Frequently asked questions

What does a website accessibility audit include?
We define the scope at the beginning of our cooperation. It may include navigation, forms, content, contrast, interactive elements, as well as the checkout or registration process. We specify the WCAG version and conformance level being assessed, along with the pages and user scenarios included in the audit.
Is an automated scan enough to assess WCAG compliance?
No. Automated scans can identify some issues, but they cannot detect every accessibility barrier. Human evaluation is also required, including keyboard navigation, messages and feedback, and how the website works with assistive technologies.
Does the audit cover the entire online store?
For larger online stores, we select representative templates and key user journeys, such as finding a product and placing an order. The report clearly defines the scope of the assessment and its limitations. We do not present results from a few selected views as if every page had been tested.
Can you work with our development team?
Yes. We provide descriptions of identified issues, examples, and technical recommendations. We can discuss solutions with your team or take responsibility for implementing the agreed improvements.
How much does a WCAG audit cost and how long does it take?
It depends on the number of templates, the complexity of interactions, and the scope of testing. After reviewing your website, we provide a quote and schedule. If remediation and re-testing are part of the cooperation, we define their scope separately.
Is it worth repeating the audit after implementing changes?
Yes. Re-testing allows us to verify whether the identified accessibility barriers have been resolved. As the website continues to evolve, it is also worth testing new features and content, since the original report reflects the state of the website at the time of the audit.
