We check the service against the WCAG requirements.
Why do companies choose Dock?
We usually do not notice the barriers we have never had to get past ourselves. Digital accessibility reminds us that there is always a person on the other side of the screen - with different needs, a different device, a different situation and a different way of using technology.
-
Accessibility taken into account from design through to development
-
Automated audits alongside expert WCAG analysis
-
A free widget that makes the site more comfortable to use
-
Practical recommendations instead of general reports
-
Continuous monitoring and improvement of accessibility

How does working together look?
Product and requirements
We start by getting to know your site, shop or application, how people use the product, and the business and legal requirements around it.
- Clear requirements
- Business context
Automated analysis
The first step can be an automated audit against the WCAG rules. It quickly finds the common problems affecting accessibility and shows the scale of what may be wrong.
- A fast diagnosis
- Problems found
Manual WCAG audit
Then we check the areas no tool can judge reliably: keyboard navigation, forms, complex interactions, messages and how the service works with assistive technology.
- Thorough checking
- Full coverage
Implementing the recommendations
After the audit you get concrete recommendations for removing the problems we found. You can implement them with your own team or hand the work to us.
- Concrete guidance
- Barriers removed
Monitoring and growth
Once the changes are in, accessibility can be monitored continuously with DockAccess: regular automated analysis and checks on the new elements arriving as the product grows.
- Constant control
- Early detection
Questions we hear often
Does an accessibility widget make my site WCAG compliant?
No. A widget can make a site easier to use and let visitors adapt selected parts of the interface to their needs, but it does not replace implementing accessibility properly in the code and the content.
WCAG compliance requires checking the site against the accessibility criteria, both automatically and by hand.
Is an automated audit enough to check a site’s accessibility?
No. Automated tools quickly find many repeatable problems: missing labels, an incorrect heading structure, contrast issues. They cannot judge everything that needs a human, though - logical keyboard operation, whether messages make sense, the order of interactions, or how the site behaves with a screen reader. A full assessment should therefore combine automated analysis with an expert audit.
Why carry out a manual WCAG audit?
A manual audit covers the parts of a site that cannot be judged reliably by a tool.
The auditor looks at keyboard operation, forms, navigation, error messages, interactions and how the key elements behave with assistive technology. That gives you not just a list of technical errors but, above all, information about the real barriers users may run into.
Do you help improve an existing website?
Yes. We can review an existing service, point out the problems and prepare a plan for removing them, with priorities. We can also implement the fixes ourselves or work alongside your development team, handing over concrete technical recommendations. That way an audit does not end at a report but can lead directly to a more accessible service.
Is digital accessibility only about legal requirements?
No. Legal requirements are one of the reasons companies take accessibility on, but not the only one.
An accessible service is easier to use for more people, it improves the quality of the experience, it can reduce problems in buying processes and forms, and it has a positive effect on the overall quality of the digital product.
WCAG compliance is worth treating not only as an obligation but also as part of the quality of the service.
Can I use DockAccess on an existing site?
Yes. DockAccess can be deployed on a new or an existing website, shop or web application.
The tool works with the popular content management systems, with modern front-end frameworks and through Google Tag Manager. Deploying it does not require rebuilding the whole service.
Is DockAccess free?
DockAccess offers a free browser tool for automated accessibility analysis, which you can use without plan-related limits.
The platform also provides free features such as the accessibility widget and automated audits, though the free plan has usage limits. Larger services can use paid plans with higher limits.
How long does a digital accessibility audit take?
The time depends mainly on the number and complexity of the key pages that need to be analysed.
A simple page usually takes an auditor about one to two hours; a more complex one, with larger forms or interactions, may take three to four. For a simple site covering about five key pages we can usually deliver the audit with the report and recommendations within about a week. For larger shops or services covering several dozen key pages the process may take a month or longer.
Before we start we agree the scope of the audit and present an estimated schedule.
Will I get a list of specific problems and how to fix them?
Yes. The report does more than state that an element fails WCAG.
For every significant problem we describe what the barrier is, which area of accessibility it concerns, how it may affect users and how to fix it.
Where possible we also point to a specific technical solution, so the report can serve directly as material for the design or development team.
How can I tell whether working with DOCK is right for me?
The best way is a short call.
We will get to know your business, your current challenges and your goals, and then judge whether we can help. If we decide another route suits you better, we will say so plainly.
Our aim is a long-term relationship built on trust and concrete results, not a sale at any cost.
