Frequently asked questions

Are Base and BaseLinker the same platform?

Base is the current brand identity of the platform formerly known as BaseLinker. When auditing an existing setup, we evaluate your actual configuration, active modules, and connections, regardless of the name your team uses.

Is configuring out-of-the-box integrations enough?

In many cases, yes. We always evaluate the platform’s native integrations and rule engine first. We only propose custom development when a required feature is unsupported or your workflow demands custom business logic.

Which system should act as the master for stock levels?

We define this based on how your operations actually run. The master source can be your ERP, the Base warehouse, or another agreed-upon system. What matters most is that the sync direction is unequivocal, preventing data overwrite loops.

Can you integrate Base with our custom ERP?

We assess data exchange capabilities on both ends, product identifiers, and order processing flows. Based on this analysis, we determine the scope, technical constraints, and cost of the integration.

What happens if products have mismatched IDs across different systems?

We set up robust mapping rules for products and variants. We review SKU quality and existing relationships across systems. We never enable automated synchronisation until we are certain which records truly correspond to one another.

Do you resolve discrepancies and duplicate orders?

Yes. We diagnose the root cause across settings, data mapping, and operation execution. We can introduce duplicate prevention, automated monitoring, and retry procedures. Cleaning up historical data is scoped as a separate project.
