What are Core Web Vitals?

Core Web Vitals are a set of Google metrics for judging what someone experiences while using a page. They cover how quickly content appears, how responsive the page is and how visually stable it stays.

Which Core Web Vitals metrics do you work with?

Chiefly LCP, INP and CLS. Each covers a different aspect of how the page behaves, so we look at them together rather than fixing on one number.

Does improving Core Web Vitals affect SEO?

Core Web Vitals are one of the things Google weighs when judging user experience. Good performance also has a direct effect on the people using the site, so we treat the work as part of technical SEO and as part of the quality of the page alike.

My PageSpeed score is low. Can you improve it?

Yes, though we do not aim only at lifting the PageSpeed Insights score. We look at the recommendations, at field data from real users and at how the page behaves, and then look for the real causes of the performance problems.

Is adding cache enough?

Not always. Cache can be a good solution, but it should not stand in for proper optimisation. If the source of the problem is inefficient code, database queries or the way data is processed, adding cache may only mask it.

Do you optimise Core Web Vitals for e-commerce?

Yes. We work on the performance of online shops, where speed matters especially. We look at category pages, product pages, the basket and the other key steps of the buying path.

Can Core Web Vitals be improved without rebuilding the whole site?

Often, yes. Performance can hinge on a single mechanism, query, script or the way resources load. A small change can sometimes bring a large improvement, so we look for the specific problem first.

How do you check that the optimisation actually worked?

We compare the results before and after the release and check how the page behaves in practice. Where field data from real users is available, we analyse that too. It lets us judge not only the change in the tool, but the actual improvement in how the page runs.
